Aaron Garrett’s Five-Star Review: Matching Houston Jersey Shadowboxes

Created, reviewed and published by Picture Worth Custom Framing | Metropolitan Houston, Texas
Based on an actual PWCF custom framing project and a customer review.

Some sports memorabilia deserves more than a place in a closet. For Aaron Garrett, two University of Houston football jerseys—both bearing number 43—became a matching pair of custom shadowboxes. One presents the white jersey from the front; the other features the red jersey with GARRETT across the back. Together, they tell one story from two sides.

Aaron Garrett five-star Google review and matching University of Houston number 43 jersey shadowboxes

A Five-Star Review That Says More Than Thank You

Aaron Garrett left PWCF a five-star Google review describing the project as one of the greatest customer-service experiences he had ever had. He praised the attention to detail, care, effort, and personal approach, saying the team exceeded his expectations. He also shared photographs of the two completed shadowboxes.

For us, that feedback matters because a jersey is not simply fabric. It can represent years of work, teammates, pride, and memories that cannot be replaced. We appreciate Aaron taking the time to share his experience and the finished display.

Two Matching Shadowboxes, Two Sides of a Football Story

The white University of Houston jersey displays HOUSTON and the number 43 on the front. Its companion red jersey displays GARRETT and 43 on the back. Each shadowbox includes additional football-themed details and a photograph, giving the finished pair more context than the jerseys alone.

The coordinating dark frames and red backgrounds help the two pieces read as a set, even when displayed separately. The captions along the bottom complete the connection: “I played for the name on the front…” and “…so you can remember the name on the back.”

Why Coordinated Jersey Framing Makes a Difference

Matching frames establish a consistent visual rhythm. Coordinated spacing, colors, and supporting memorabilia make the collection feel intentional. The design should also respect the shape of each jersey and allow important names, numbers, patches, and other details to remain visible.

Our custom shadowbox services can help collectors plan displays for jerseys and dimensional keepsakes. For more examples, see our De’Aaron Fox basketball jersey project and Vince Young jersey framing story.

The Details Behind a Personal Sports Display

Before framing a jersey, consider whether the front or back is most meaningful, what memorabilia belongs beside it, and where the finished piece will hang. Size, depth, mounting choices, and display conditions should be discussed for the actual item. These photos show the finished design, but they do not document the precise attachment or glazing materials used, so we will not claim methods we cannot verify.

Collectors with other meaningful objects can explore our custom framing options. The 48-star American flag project offers another example of presenting treasured memorabilia with care.

Frequently Asked Questions About Matching Jersey Shadowboxes

Can two jerseys be framed as a matching set? Yes. Coordinating frame profiles, colors, and design details can make separate shadowboxes look like one collection.

Can the front of one jersey and back of another be displayed? Yes. This project illustrates how both sides can work together visually.

Can photos and patches be included? Depending on their size and the display design, supporting memorabilia can be incorporated alongside jerseys.

How do I start a jersey framing project? Bring the jerseys, any accompanying keepsakes, approximate dimensions, and your display ideas to a PWCF consultation.

Thank You, Aaron Garrett

We appreciate Aaron trusting Picture Worth Custom Framing with his matching University of Houston jersey displays and sharing his five-star review. PWCF has served Metropolitan Houston since 2011, helping customers frame the objects and moments that matter to them.

Signed and Numbered Coastal Fine Art: Custom Framing in Houston

Created, reviewed and published by Picture Worth Custom Framing | Metropolitan Houston, Texas
Based on an actual PWCF custom framing project.

Some photographs do more than capture a place. They capture the feeling of standing there. This signed and numbered coastal fine-art photograph brings together dramatic rocky cliffs, deep blue water, soft surf, and a glowing light in the sky. PWCF’s job was to give this original artwork a presentation that respects both the image and the artist’s signature.

PWCF editorial graphic showing a signed and numbered coastal fine-art photograph in a brown wood frame

Why Signed and Numbered Fine Art Deserves Special Attention

Look just below the image: the artist’s handwritten title or edition notation appears on one side, with a signature on the other. These small marks are part of the artwork’s identity. For a collector, they are also an important reason not to cover the print’s borders with a mat or frame.

The image itself moves from warm, rugged foreground rock toward cool blue ocean and distant hills. A bright point of light over the coastline adds a quiet focal point. Rather than crowding those details, the finished frame creates space around them.

The Framing: Warm Wood and Generous White Matting

For this actual PWCF project, the finished presentation pairs a warm brown wood frame with generous white matting. The inner mat opening is beveled, creating a crisp transition to the photograph. The overall look feels calm, classic, and suitable for a gallery wall or a thoughtfully designed home.

The white border keeps the composition from feeling confined. It also leaves the handwritten marks visible below the photograph. The brown wood frame offers a natural contrast to the blue ocean while echoing the earthy tones of the cliffs.

Original signed and numbered coastal fine-art photograph custom framed in warm wood and white matting by PWCF

Protecting the Art Without Making Unsupported Promises

Collectors frequently ask whether a signed print should be framed differently from a standard poster. The answer begins with understanding the paper, the artist’s markings, the print’s value to its owner, and the intended display environment. Mounting, glazing, spacing, and handling choices should be discussed before work begins.

The photographs show the finished frame and matting, but they do not establish the exact glass, backing, or attachment method used. We therefore won’t claim specific conservation materials or techniques for this piece without documentation. Our custom framing services can help owners discuss appropriate options for their individual artwork.

A Coastal Photograph That Becomes a Room’s Focal Point

Framed landscape photography can bring the outdoors into a room without overwhelming the interior. Here, the deep ocean blues work beautifully with the warm wood frame and open white mat. The result has a balanced, architectural quality that could complement a home office, living room, hospitality space, or designer-led interior.

PWCF also frames original artwork and oversized pieces when a work calls for more specialized presentation. For another landscape-focused project, read our photography-to-canvas framing story.

What to Ask Before Framing Signed or Limited-Edition Photography

First, confirm the full dimensions of the sheet and image area. Decide whether the artist’s signature and edition markings should remain visible. Consider the final size on the wall, frame color, mat width, and the room’s lighting. If the work is valuable or irreplaceable, ask about materials and techniques suited to its condition.

The same questions matter for other collectible works. Our 48-star American flag framing project demonstrates a different kind of presentation where the item’s history and condition deserve careful consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions About Signed Fine Art Framing

Should an artist’s signature stay visible? Usually, when the owner wants the work’s edition and signature displayed, the mat opening and margins can be designed to show them.

Does every fine-art photograph need the same glass? No. Glazing depends on the artwork, the owner’s priorities, lighting, and the intended environment.

Can a wood frame work with coastal photography? Absolutely. Warm wood can balance cool blues and help tie a landscape photograph into an interior.

Does PWCF frame signed and numbered prints? Yes. PWCF works with original art, photography, and collectible prints. We recommend discussing the specific piece before selecting the framing approach.

Oversized String Art Framing Houston: A Modern Abstract in Color

Created, reviewed and published by Picture Worth Custom Framing | Metropolitan Houston, Texas
Based on an actual PWCF custom framing project.

At first glance, this oversized abstract seems to be a flowing field of yellow, green, and deep blue. Move closer, however, and the artwork reveals its real character: hundreds of closely spaced vertical strands create the image through color, repetition, and dimension. It is precisely the kind of original artwork that deserves a frame designed around the piece—not the other way around.

PWCF oversized abstract string art framed in black, with close-ups of colorful dimensional strands

A Modern Abstract Built From Color and Rhythm

The completed artwork features fine vertical lines that travel from pale yellow at the edges into bright greens and darker blues toward the center. An angled transition across the lower half gives the composition movement. The white field surrounding the strands keeps the arrangement airy, even though the artwork is visually dense.

Unlike a conventional printed image, this piece invites the viewer to notice its raised, repeating lines. The strands create a subtle play of light and shadow. From across a room, they blend into a large color-field composition; from nearby, their individual texture becomes the focal point.

Why Oversized String Art Needs Thoughtful Framing

Oversized pieces place different demands on framing than small, flat artwork. Size affects frame rigidity, handling, installation planning, and the relationship between the art and its surrounding space. A dimensional surface adds another concern: the frame should complement the texture rather than distract from it.

For this real PWCF project, the finished presentation uses a broad black frame around a bright white field. That contrast gives the colorful strands a crisp boundary while preserving the clean, contemporary character of the work. The photograph documents the finished presentation; it does not establish the exact mounting materials or glazing, so we do not make unsupported preservation claims.

Actual oversized abstract string artwork with blue green and yellow vertical strands in a black custom frame

A Black Frame That Lets the Artwork Lead

The strongest framing choice is not always the most ornate. Here, a restrained black profile anchors the composition and balances its energetic color. It also makes the white background appear intentional, giving the art visual breathing room. This approach works particularly well for modern interiors where a large artwork may become the room’s defining feature.

PWCF works with extra-large and oversized artwork as well as original paintings and art. If your piece needs a custom presentation, our custom framing services are a practical place to start.

What to Consider Before Framing Dimensional Art

Before choosing a frame for string art, ask how far the surface projects, whether the piece is flexible or rigid, and where it will hang. Measure the actual artwork—not just the visible colored area. Consider the finished weight, wall type, access through doors and stairways, and the lighting around the display.

Dimensional artwork should be evaluated individually. Some pieces may benefit from additional depth or spacing; others can be presented without those features. We recommend a consultation before making assumptions about the right construction or glazing.

Oversized Art Can Transform a Room

An artwork like this can give a living room, lobby, conference room, or designer-led interior a distinct visual identity. Its green-to-blue gradient brings color without relying on a literal subject. The repetition of the strands adds visual order, while the angled pattern introduces movement.

For a different example of how PWCF presents distinctive artwork, see our Foo Fighters foil poster project, where the colors change with the light. Our 48-star American flag framing story shows how a completely different material calls for its own presentation strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions About Oversized String Art Framing

Can PWCF frame large, dimensional string art? Yes. PWCF handles oversized and specialty artwork, with design decisions based on the actual piece and its construction.

Does string art always need glass? No single glazing answer fits every artwork. The piece’s depth, fragility, display location, and owner’s preferences should guide the decision.

Why choose a black frame for colorful abstract art? A dark, simple profile can create contrast and emphasize the artwork’s colors without competing with the composition.

Can a designer arrange framing for a client? Yes. Interior designers can contact PWCF to discuss framing specifications, project timing, and presentation goals.

Foo Fighters Foil Concert Poster: Colors That Change With the Light

Created, reviewed and published by Picture Worth Custom Framing | Metropolitan Houston, Texas
Based on an actual PWCF custom framing project.

Some artwork reveals its personality only when the light moves. This Foo Fighters concert poster is one of those pieces. Its intricate gold elephant, colorful tusks, and ornate geometric borders seem to change from one photograph to the next. They are not different posters: the shifting hues come from the foil interacting with the angle of the light.

Collage of framed Foo Fighters foil poster and its shifting colors

One Concert Poster. Several Different Looks.

Look closely at the images from this PWCF project. The Foo Fighters lettering can glow orange and red. The elephant’s eyes appear blue, teal, or violet. The curved tusk-like forms shift through green, pink, silver, and purple, while the fine decorative borders flash with additional colors. The effect is most obvious when you compare the close-ups with the full framed view.

The poster itself references a July 17, 2008 Foo Fighters performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Its distinctive elephant artwork makes it a compelling piece of concert memorabilia even before the foil catches the light.

Why Holographic Foil Makes Framing More Interesting

A foil concert poster has two stories: the illustration and the way its reflective surface responds to the room. Unlike a flat print, metallic and iridescent details can appear dramatically different as a viewer walks past or the lighting changes. That means the display needs to respect both the artwork’s design and its changing appearance.

A carefully chosen frame can create a strong visual boundary without competing with the foil. For this project, the finished presentation features a dark frame and a generous dark surrounding field, allowing the elephant and the colorful details to take center stage.

Complete framed Foo Fighters elephant foil concert poster with black frame

The Frame Should Support the Poster, Not Compete With It

The completed piece illustrates how restrained framing can complement highly detailed artwork. The dark presentation gives the gold linework, blue eyes, and colorful foil room to stand out. Just as important, it keeps attention on the original design instead of introducing unnecessary visual clutter.

Every concert poster has different dimensions, materials, and display needs. Our custom framing services help collectors explore a presentation suited to the particular piece. For dimensional keepsakes, see our shadowbox framing; for artwork requiring a larger display, explore oversized artwork framing.

Protecting a Collectible Without Losing Its Character

Collectors often ask how to frame a valuable or sentimental concert poster. Before selecting materials, we consider the condition of the print, its dimensions, how it will be displayed, and whether the owner wants future removal to remain possible. We also discuss glazing and lighting because glare can compete with reflective foil. The exact mounting and glazing used on this poster have not been independently documented here, so we will not claim a particular conservation method.

For another example of PWCF framing meaningful memorabilia, explore our De’Aaron Fox jersey framing project. Our 48-star American flag project shows a different approach to presenting an item with historical significance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Foil Concert Poster Framing

Does holographic foil really change color? The perceived color can shift with the viewing angle and lighting. These project photographs demonstrate how striking that effect can be.

Should a foil concert poster use a dark frame? A dark frame can create contrast and keep the focus on vivid artwork, but the best choice depends on the poster and its intended room.

Can PWCF frame concert posters and other music memorabilia? Yes. PWCF provides custom framing for prints, artwork, jerseys, and other memorabilia. Contact the shop to discuss the specific item.

Will the framing stop the foil from changing color? The reflective effect comes from the print. Glazing, reflections, and room lighting can influence how clearly it appears, so those choices should be considered during design.

Give the Music a Place on the Wall

Concert posters are more than souvenirs. They capture a performance, a place, and a moment worth keeping. This Foo Fighters piece adds a color-shifting visual experience that makes the artwork engaging from different angles. PWCF has served Metropolitan Houston since December 2011, bringing over 14 years of custom framing experience to artwork and keepsakes of many kinds.

If it’s worth remembering… it’s worth custom framing.
