As we celebrate and recognize your national holiday, we see a world changing into your dream each day. Each moment stretching the limits of this great nation’s traditions and dark history and forging a new way forward. We can only hope you and your good friend John Lewis admire the “good trouble” we’ve gotten into to expedite the change necessary to show all men and women are created equal. This country has a very long way to go; systemic racism and social injustice are still present each day.
